So I am trying this new fiscally conservative policy for my makeup purchases. Stop the impulse buying because chances are I already have that color in another brand, target in on what I need (If I run out of something, that is a fair purchase with no guilt attached!), and, to be fair to my Color Elated side, limit myself to a few new high end pieces that I must use as the crux of my new seasonal look. Lastly, continue to use the things I have and love for as long as The Board of Health will allow.
I wanted to share some of these new finds as some of them really blow my mind! Like the lipstick for example. This is...well... let me set the stage. In deciding which spring collection I loved the most, I was blown away by Chanel's spring colors, especially the lipstick. The gorgeous hybrid of coral and pink nearly knocked me out of my seat! I tried, in vain, to purchase it online, but, sadly, it was sold out, but I never forgot that gorgeous color. I eventually ended up admiring Lancome's French Ballerine Collection. Though this particular lipstick was not part of the new spring line, I found a fabulous dupe. It is Rouge In Love 383N. The color is perfection and the formula glides on like a dream.
Lancome Gloss In Love #200, looks like glistening white snow flakes in a tube. On the skin, it is opalescent, multicolored shimmer. Glosses like this I am sure can be worn alone, but to me, they were made to glam up existing lipsticks and glosses. Can you imagine how gorgeous that could look in the spring and summer sunlight?
That awesome pop of pink in a jar that you see belongs to Lancome Color Design Infinite Eye Shadow in Always Fuchsia. I love the formula. It is greatly pigmented for a cream shadow. Their color selection is amazing! I chose this shade as it would work nicely with the shadow palette. Speaking of which, Lancome Color Design Palette in #210 Dancing Rose was an interesting purchase. Ordinarily, I would recommend these colors for a lighter complexion. But I decided to take these colors and really work with them. With the use of color basing and adding other shades I own, this palette can really come to life.
Here I took Always Fuchsia in the inner corners and applied a hot pink cream base on the lids and followed up with the entire Dancing Rose Palette. I am pleased with the results. I look forward to making subtle changes to create a myriad of different looks with this palette.
Mally Poreless Face Defender is a transparent ...cream? Wax? It feels like nothing ever. But, it works! I apply this once in the morning to touch up and I am set for the day. It combats shine and leaves a velvety finish. I purchased mine on QVC.
The last two are so fun! MAC Fluidline in It's Physical is brown, plummy, golden, sparkly. This is not the liner when you want for boldness. The pigmentation is there, but there is a subtly to it that is so fresh for spring and summer. I especially love this under the eye. I must try to do a look and show this soon. You have to see it to believe it. But I am most blown away by MAC Haute & Naughty Lash. It is a double brush mascara with a great formula. One brush I use on top lashes. I cannot clump this mascara if I tried. It separates to perfection. The smaller brush I love on my lower lashes. The dark color adds brilliant definition while the brush stretches and coats every lash. I can even get into those tight places. I am loving the Haute & Naughty!
Thank you again for joining me. I have a few more finds I want to post on my You Tube channel, Color Elated, so I hope you will join me there. Please share with me some of your newest finds. I would love to hear about them. As always, stay blessed and Color Elated!
